URBAN MOBILITY PROJECTS

The National Urban Mobility Policy (PNMU), instituted in April 2012 by Federal Law no. 12,587, is one of the instruments of urban development in Brazil and aims at the integration between the different modes of transport and the improvement of accessibility and mobility of people and cargo. The law establishes the Urban Mobility Plan as a tool to implement the principles, guidelines and objectives of this policy.

As a result, it has the construction of multimodal plans for Metropolitan Collective Transport, Metropolitan Urban Logistics, Individual motorized transport and Active transport. Cross-cutting themes are considered land use and occupation, sustainability, road safety, accessibility, governance and popular participation.

BALANCE OF CENTRAL URBAN MOBILITY - MOBICENTRO

Study and reformulation of city centers with a view to a more contemporary conception of properly dealing with pedestrians, public transport and the car, creating a more efficient network in a more humanized environment.

It comprises a new circulation scheme with all the resulting changes (intersections, itineraries, traffic light programming, stratigraphic signaling projects, road geometry, bidding and implementation management and monitoring).

METRICS has already designed and monitored the implementation of two important urban centers - Belo Horizonte and Recife - ensuring tranquility and security for the public administration.
