ROAD STUDIES

ROAD TRAFFIC

61% of cargo movements and 96% of passengers pass through Brazilian highways according to the latest survey by the National Transport Confederation (CNT).
The 1.8 million km of national road network (the fourth largest in the world) concentrates its critical sections of safety and capacity in the vicinity of urban centers. The conflicts between the desires of vehicles that are just passing by (with no local interest), with those that have an urban rhythm, aggravated by the use of the land next to the highway, creates a scenario for a series of typical problems called “ urban crossing ”.
As much for the immediate focus (Project of Immediate Action in the Traffic - PAIT), with interventions of low cost and great return, both under a longer perspective (redesign of the stretch, infrastructure etc.), we have a set of implemented solutions that show our expertise.
The SEINFRA of Minas Gerais and Pernambuco, among other public agencies and concessionaires, are customers who can attest to our experience.
Helping, through traffic and feasibility studies, the concessionaires in the bidding processes or in the concession's operation are works developed that showed results that met the customers' expectations. Our projects take into account all the actors involved in the process, from pedestrians and drivers to the public bodies involved in order to create a solution that is shared and enjoyed by all.

HIGHWAY CONCESSIONS

Brazil has the second largest set of highways in the world, of which more than 14,000 kilometers are currently under concession, operated by 51 companies, which have already invested around R $ 16 billion in 15 years.

The Concession System allows the transfer, by means of a bidding process, of a service or public good to the private initiative for a specified period, in the case of highways, this period is between 20 and 30 years, after which the contract may or may not be renewed. .

The performance of Federal Highway Concessionaires is regulated and supervised by the National Land Transportation Agency (ANTT), of the Ministry of Transport.
